For Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Members

The Government has set up the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) a social security organisation that provides retirement benefit to private sector employees and non-pensionable public service employees. The EPF also provides various early withdrawal schemes for its members before they reach retirement age.

Apart from the withdrawal schemes, EPF also provides an Investment Scheme for members
who wish to invest part of their savings in unit trusts through their Account 1.

Beginning 1st February 2008, rules for investment through EPF are shown below:

Age & Basic Savings in EPF Account 1
  • 25-29 RM 9,000
  • 30-34 RM 18,000
  • 35-39 RM 29,000
  • 40-44 RM 44,000
  • 45-50 RM 90,000
  • 55 RM 120,000

Tahukah Anda????
